I direct the College Writing Program at Davidson and am interested in digital-intellectual writing , sites for sustained deliberation about issues that matter to wide publics. As someone who studies public literacies and civic formation, I am also interested in the text-image relationship, especially as it applies to contemporary attention economies.

I am particularly interested in Cathy Davidson's recent work on the relationship of the digital to cognitive change.
