I am a graduate student in the UNCG LIS program. My spiral path to librarianship includes previous degrees in psychology & women's studies, oncology nursing, and raising 4 baby geeks. While on the 5-year plan to earn my MLIS degree I also worked full time at an urban arts magnet elementary school.
During the last round of budget cuts, my position was eliminated and I became a full-time student. This is my last year in the program, and I am eager to network with other interdisciplinary students and educators.
I am currently researching how medical and allied health libraries are utilizing tablet computers and e-readers. Some of my other research interests include the history of agriculture and the history of medicine.
